With the season done and dusted, focus now turns to the potential Chelsea squad for next season. There have been a large number of rumours floating around within the press. We will have a look at some of the more recent rumours.
Mohamed Salah has been rumoured to be on his way out of the club for quite some time. The Mirror are claiming that the Egyptian is close to a permanent move to Inter Milan in Italy. Inter are reportedly offering £5 million but the Blues are apparently looking for £13.5 million. Variations of this story have been thrown around for quite some time and thus, this story lacks credibility.
The Daily Mail is stating that Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in Anderlechtís 20 year old striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. The Serbian international reportedly wants to play Champions League football. Mitrovic currently has a value of £15 million. With Chelsea in the market for another striker, this story has some credibility but some parallels can be drawn from Romelu Lukakuís transfer from the same club, which saw him struggle for first-team places before being transferred despite his immense potential.
Petr Cechís potential move to Arsenal is still swirling around with The Express reporting that Arsenal are close to sealing the deal. Arsenal are also reportedly interested in Charly Musonda. The young Chelsea midfielder appears unlikely to leave the club on a permanent move though with Chelsea more likely to loan out the youngster.
