Chelsea has today announced that the signing of Pedro from Barcelona has officially been completed.
There had been speculation over the past week that the Spaniard would be joining the Premier League champions; following Manchester United dropping out of the race for the much sought after winger.
Pedro has been unsettled in recent times at Barcelona, which prompted many transfer rumours, none of which came to fruition until now.
The 28-year-old has managed to already accumulate three Champions League titles in his career. Along with these, he has also been a part of five La Liga titles and been a winner at both the World Cup and European Championship.
Pedro has claimed that he has joined Chelsea “to keep winning titles”.
Pedro will be hoping he can turn Chelsea’s fortunes around in the coming weeks. This signing comes as a bit of a shock to many Chelsea fans as Jose Mourinho had previously stated that he was happy with his squad.
Chelsea now boasts arguably the best attacking line-up in the league and appears to have the credentials to retain their title, despite a slow start to the season.
