An uninspiring 0-0 draw for Manchester United sees them remain in fourth place on the Barclays Premier League table. United fans will be frustrated with the lack of attacking threat, but thankful for their goalkeeper, David De Gea, who made some very good saves to keep them in the match.
David De Gea: 8 - A man of the match performance. Made some very good saves, with the glancing touch that deflected Yannick Bolasie's effort on the crossbar the pick of the bunch. Earned United a point.
Chris Smalling: 6 - Fell a little short of his usual high standards. Picked up a silly yellow card for a momentary lapse in concentration and struggled to deal with Scott Dann at set-pieces. Did play some nice passes between the lines though.
Daley Blind: 6 - A decent performance without being overly impressive. Was unable to assist the midfield in breaking Crystal Palace down and did look shaky at times defensively.
Marcos Rojo: 6 - Competed well against a difficult duo in Bolasie and Wilfried Zaha. Was a physical presence in defence but unable to get many crosses in when United attacked.
Morgan Schneiderlin: 6 - Took some time to settle into the game with some early errors. Did settle eventually and was steady until the final whistle.
Bastian Schweinsteiger: 6 - Controls the midfield with ease with simple and clever movement and passing. Sometimes needs to take the responsibility to play some attacking passes.
Ander Herrera: 5 - Found it difficult to find space in a cramped midfield area. Scuffed arguably United's best chance of the game in the first-half.
Anthony Martial: 6 - Some positives and some negatives. At times lost the ball a little too easily, but conversely was one of few United players who wanted to attack. Should have got an assist after playing a beautiful pass to put Wayne Rooney through on goal.
Wayne Rooney: 6 - Looked slow and old when trying to run-down Martial's pass. Was reasonable otherwise but still a long way from the level he should be playing at.
Ashley Young: 7 - Despite limited time on the pitch he played well. Made a goal-saving tackle to stop a Palace attack and regularly positioned himself well at the back-post to deal with danger.
Marouane Fellaini: 6 - Limited time to impress and was nothing other than 'okay' in his cameo.
Jesse Lingard: 5 - Replaced Juan Mata but was unable to produce anything of note.
