Glenn Murray scored a late header to give Bournemouth a shock victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to heap more pressure on an under fire Chelsea.
The 82nd minute goal is a famous one for the club that has seen Chelsea’s chances of a top four finish all but over.
Chelsea is now 14 points away from Champions League places in 14th place.
Chelsea appeared to be regaining some of their previous form in recent weeks, following a number of positive results. Three clean sheets in all competitions appeared to show that Chelsea had turned a corner. These positive results have now been wiped from people’s minds and will be replaced with this negative result.
Bournemouth have now scored more goals than Chelsea this season, sitting on 18 goals, while Chelsea has only scored 17.
No side in the Premier League this season has conceded more goals in the last 15 minutes of games than Chelsea.
Chelsea will host Porto on Wednesday to determine whether or not they will make it out of the group. Right now it appears the only way the side will be able to qualify for the Champions League is to win the competition, starting with a key match on Wednesday.
