Willian Looks Back

  • Willian Looks Back

“The best moment in my life”. This was how Willian explained how he felt when first signing for Chelsea.

Willian had been asked this week about his original decision to sign with Chelsea and his thought process to signing for the Blues.

Willian has been a stand out performer for Chelsea this season, with consistent displays all throughout the season.

Willian has the most assists in the Premier League for his team with 4. The Brazilian has also had the most crosses into the box with 109, the next closest is Pedro with 56.

Of course this almost didn’t happen as Willian almost penned a deal with Tottenham just moments before signing with Chelsea.

Willian stated that he has set to sign a deal with Tottenham but was forced to apologise and reject them as the opportunity to join Chelsea was too good to refuse. Willian stated “I’m sorry but I go to Chelsea. It’s my dream, I have to go there”, when asked about how he rejected Tottenham.

This news may be quite surprising for many as it was rumoured that Willian wanted to leave Chelsea at the beginning of the season and was a name mentioned in reference to the possible rift between former coach, Jose Mourinho and players.

For the moment however, Willian seems content on turning Chelsea’s season around and getting the club back into the top four.
